Andy Davey Sketch

We've had the Cartoon Sketch painted at the top of the stairs by Andy Davey a good friend and client of Scruffs. We thought it would be a bit of fun and a good talking point as the top of the stairs is blocked off we thought it would give the wall a proper purpose! Andy is an Editorial Cartoonist and appears in publications including The Guardian, The Times, The Independent on Sunday and many more. Andy currently draws daily editorial cartoons for the Sun!

Celebrating 40 Years...

Scruffs moves to its new city centre location as it celebrates 40 years of business.

A Grand New Home...

On September 1st 2010 Scruffs moved to 68/69 Bridge Street, Cambridge into a stunning Grade 2 listed Georgian town house; it took us over a year to find the perfect new Salon but as soon as we walked into the entrance hall we knew it had the wow factor! We have managed to retain the period features whilst adding our very own personal touch. The Salon spans over 2000sq ft, where we have 23 units and 9 basins. As Scruffs is a family run Salon we didn't want it just to have a normal Salon feel as this has been done countless times before. We have made our Salon more of a home; anybody passing by is welcome to pop in for a look round to soak up the great atmosphere!

Garry cuts hair for Jimmy Choo!

The Times Magazine had asked Tamara Mellon the President and founder of shoe empire Jimmy Choo for a photo shoot for their Portraits of Success article, 23 May 2009. Garry was delighted to be first called to her apartment to do her hair and then to her office for the photo shoot. Garry worked with Samantha Cooper on the make-up side to achieve the final overall look.
