Scruffs are proud to support artists and photographers, and our Grade II Listed Building is the perfect space to showcase some of their work. With artwork and exhibitors changing every few months and available to buy, we hope it adds something extra to your visit!
In a unique exhibition, and as part of our 50-year anniversary celebrations, Scruffs will showcase fourteen limited edition fine art photography prints by award winning Swiss photographer Patrick Ems.
All prints are available to buy in three different sizes. Each print is protected using Tagsmart triple-lock DNA tag technology and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
One print, worth nearly £2000, will be donated to Scruffs’ 50 year anniversary charity raffle* on Sunday 20th May. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Arthur Rank Hospice and the Little Princess Trust. Any artwork sold at the event will also help raise additional funds.
The fine art photography prints are available to view over the coming months during Scruffs normal business hours.

When the world of photography captured my heart more than twenty years ago, it changed the way I perceived the world. I realised that experiences in life and the emotions we feel can be captured in a moment to live on forever in a photograph. Chased by emotions and haste, I felt like a child exploring an unknown world; there was no plan of where this journey would take me. The chase led me through countless styles, an exploration of the various influences in my life and a deep reflection of my own emotions. Photography has become an integral part of my life, a means of expression without using any words.
Influenced by a multitude of artists and philosophical ideas, my style of photography gained focus and clarity. Reducing the content to the minimum, I developed an intense fascination for simplicity – the point where the true essence of an image appears, awaking deep feelings and thoughts.
